Daddy and Moose

Moose just loves her Daddy! She is in for a big surprise when she has to share him with Hailey! Pretty soon, Hailey will be relaxing in the crook of Daddy's arm...

Work shower

On Wednesday, my co workers threw me a baby shower! It was really nice and the food was tasty! Hailey got lots of goodies! I think we are officially set now. I don't think we will need to leave the house to get supplies for a good 2-3 months after she is born :-) Thank you everyone for the very generous gifts!!

Border and window seat

We are almost a month away from Hailey's arrival! Jeff got the window seat finished up today. It is very cute, and looks great. We used a pink flannel fabric with purple, green and yellow polka dots on it. Jeff also started on the wall border today before he left for work...talk about a harder project then you would think! It's a pain in the butt! Especially on the long sections. We got halfway done today, and then Jeff had to go to work. So we are going to let it dry and see how it turns out and hopefully finish it up tomorrow. It looks good so far! After that, we just have Hailey's name to hang up on the wall and some cute other decorations to put up and her room will be complete!! WOOHOO!

Fun in the sun!

On Tuesday, Jeff and I FINALLY had a day off together so we decided to take advantage of the sunny weather. We went to the beach at Larrabee State Park and enjoyed the gorgeous views. Jeff did some crab hunting, but only found little ones. Then we took Caesar to Bloedel Donovan park to "wade". Caesar doesn't like to go deeper then his back, so if you toss his toy out further than he likes he will howl at it until someone gets it. Check out the last picture...Jeff ended up wading in after Caesar's toy multiple times :-) Caesar had lots of fun, but was really sore the next day. Poor guy!

35 weeks

Finally! Here is the belly pic for week 35...Candice, you can stop sending me threats of bodily harm now! The pics are up! Things are going well, I'm still sore and sleeping is becoming a bit more difficult, but overall I shouldn't complain too much. I am still working, and I plan to work for as long as I can. I switch to graveyard shift on June 2nd, that should be interesting! But it won't be for too long!

Doctor's update

We had our doctor's appt today. We didn't find out anything too exciting. They scheduled us for another ultrasound on June 6 to check the fluid in Hailey's kidneys and to check the amount of my amniotic fluid. The doctor said that if my fluid levels are still too high, they may have to extract the fluid or possibly induce me a week early. So we will have more answers in 2 weeks. After our next appt, we start seeing the doctor every week, I can't believe how fast time is flying by.

Since our very first appt, Jeff has taken a picture of me in the exam room...well today he had our real camera instead of his cell phone camera, so here are the pictures! And we apologize for always being late on the weekly belly picture, Jeff and I have been on opposite shifts so we haven't seen much of each other and it's hard to remember to do! Hopefully we can get it done tomorrow!

Blankets

My mom has been very busy on her sewing machine! She also made these blankets for Hailey! One is a satin Winnie the Pooh print with a fuzzy, soft backing. And the other is a comforter that is light blue with cute brown dog faces on it. Thanks Ma, we love them!

Window shade...

My mom made a roman shade for Hailey's room and this week she came and helped Jeff put it up. It's a black out shade on the back and green checkered print on the front, which matches a pattern in the bedding set. It's really cute, my mom did an excellent job! As you can see from the pictures we had a full house of dogs, who enjoyed helping out!

Birthing class

Jeff and I had our birthing class this weekend. It was all day Saturday and a half day on Sunday. We weren't too excited about the class given that the weekend was absolutely gorgeous! But we learned a TON at the class. I think we both feel a bit more prepared and informed about what to expect...we are now experts at swaddling, but we still don't know how to change a diaper! Maybe Moose will let us practice on her...hmmmmmmmmm :-) Now we just have to sign up for a hospital tour and a infant CPR class and we will be set.

Not too much new to report...although I think that I'm getting bigger and bigger by the day. Hailey continues to be very active. It's hard to believe that we will be 34 weeks tomorrow...we have another doctor's appointment on Friday afternoon, we will keep you updated!

Car seat!

Yeah! Hailey's car seat is finally here! I couldn't find a store that had this one in stock, and every website I found said it was back ordered...finally I came across a website that said it would be available in a month, so I went ahead and ordered it and I have been impatiently waiting the whole month! It came today and I was very happy! It's kind of hard to see from the picture, but it's black and light pink. It's really cute and it looks pretty comfy!!

33 weeks

Only 7 weeks left! We can't believe how fast the time is going! We are doing our birthing class this weekend. It's all day Saturday and half of Sunday. I am pretty excited about the class. I think it will make us feel much more prepared.

Hailey continues to be pretty active! She loves to thump on my bladder and kick me in the ribs.

The nursery is almost complete! We just have to put up the wall border, put up the roman shade and finish the window seat. I think Hailey is really going to enjoy her room. I love going in there and just looking at everything!

Nursery

Here are some pictures of the nursery so far. We still have some stuff to put up on the walls, like Hailey's name and a shelf. Jeff is going to make a little bench seat for the window, which is going to be really cute.. It's really coming together! More pics to come soon...and we haven't forgotten about the belly pic, we are just a little behind! It will be up tomorrow.

Jungle Luv

Grandma and Grandpa McCoy bought Hailey the Jungle Luv bedding set. It is so adorable! It has cute, whimsical elephants, hippos, giraffes and zebras on it. We put the bedding on her crib tonight but I don't have a picture yet, so I used the one from the Babies R Us website. I will post nursery pics soon, we have a couple more things to get done before it's finished.

Braxton Hicks...ouch!

On Tuesday morning at 1am I woke up to awful pain in my stomach. It felt like bad cramps and even worse cramps came in waves for the next hour. I assumed it was Braxton Hicks, but it still worried me, so Jeff got the baby books and started reading everything he could about Braxton Hicks. After about an hour and half they went away and I was able to go back to bed. It really made me realize though that: 1.) Labor is going to be VERY painful, because the Braxton Hicks hurt bad enough!!! and 2.) Hailey is going to be here before we know it! We have less than 8 weeks until her due date!

We have our birthing class coming up on May 17-18, and I am excited to learn about everything! I'm hoping we have an energetic and interesting teacher who will make the information understandable. Jeff is going to be coming off a graveyard shift so he is going to need lots of help staying awake, poor guy.

Dr. appt

We had our 32 week appt today, and they did an ultrasound to check on the fluid in Hailey's kidneys. It was really cool to see how big Hailey is now and to see how much more developed she is from the last time we saw her. Hailey was pretty active during the ultrasound and at one point she had one of her arms across her face and her feet crossed at the ankles, just relaxing. It was really cute. She also opened her eyes a couple times and was smacking her lips. We found out that she weighs 4 lbs 7 oz currently, which is right where she should be.

So regarding the fluid in her kidneys, it is about the same. Which, because she is bigger now, is not of too much concern. But the doctor said they are going to continue to monitor it and after Hailey is born, she will get an ultrasound to check on the kidneys again and possibly be on medication to clear it up.

On the ultrasound they also found that I have more amniotic fluid than I should have...which is something they are going to monitor as well. The doctor said this would explain why I'm a bit larger than I should be. So, that's about as much as we know. We have another appt. on May 23rd.

Here are 2 of the ultrasound pics, I know it's kind of hard to tell what is what, but the first one is a picture of her face, and you can actually see her eyes, nose and mouth in the middle if you look hard enough. The 2nd picture is a profile picture, and you can see her pouty little lips...she is going to take after her mommy!!
