When Jeff gets dressed for work, Hailey LOVES to stare at the yellow WSP patch on his uniform. So, he gave her one of his patches to play with last night. Hailey has recently started holding on to things and continues to be very smiley. We are patiently waiting for her first giggle, we have a feeling it won't be long!

Baby and Me!

Today Hailey and I started our Baby and Me classes. I was nervous about how Hailey was going to behave, but she did great! The classes are 2 hours long and she only slept for about 20 minutes during that time. There are 11 mom's and babies in the class ranging in age from 1 month to 7 months. It was fun to see what skills the older babies had and to compare Hailey to other babies her age. We sang songs and discussed the developmental skills of infants. It was educational and I look forward to the next 7 weeks of class!

Whatcom Falls walk

We went on a walk through Whatcom Falls park today. Hailey loved looking at everything and enjoyed being outside. She lasted a long time and finally fell asleep on the way back.

Hailey was wearing this cute outfit with a hooded sweatshirt, but for some reason she was unhappy about it :-) We thought she was pretty cute anyway!

Shots

Poor little girl! Hailey weighs 11.4 lbs (50% percentile) and is 24 inches long (93% percentile). The doctor said she is very healthy, and cute of course! Hailey (and mommy and daddy) hated the shots. It was horrible and made me want to cry! I'm glad we don't have to do that again for another 2 months.

Birch Bay

We went to Birch Bay State Park the other night to take some pictures. The photos turned out SO good and the sunset was amazing!! Hailey had fun seeing the ocean for the first time. She looked adorable in her little hooded sweatshirt! Check out the 9th picture down...Hailey is flipping off the camera! We have not idea where she learned that!!

Hailey continues to amaze us each day. She discovered her feet a couple of days ago and she has been grabbing at them and kicking them like mad. She is strong and likes to "stand" up on our laps to look around. She coos in the morning when she wakes up and it's the sweetest thing ever!! She really enjoys being outside and looking at everything. She is very smiley, and I think she is going to laugh very soon.

Hailey has her 2 month appointment tomorrow afternoon :-( I am not looking forward to her getting 4 shots, it's going to be horrible! Poor little girl...

Jumperoo

We thought it would be funny to put Hailey in the Jumperoo and see how small she looks in it. Much to our surprise, her feet could actually touch the ground on the lowest setting, and she could bounce it enough to make the lights and music start. She seemed to enjoy herself in it. I bet in a month she can really get it moving! Here is a video of her enjoying the Jumperoo, I took it with my cell phone so the picture isn't very good.

2 months!

Yesterday was Hailey's 2 month birthday!! We went to Whatcom Falls and got some cute pictures!
