Vancouver, BC

On Wednesday, the family headed up to Vancouver, BC for a 2 night stay. Jeff and I get 3 days off together about once every 2-3 months, and this time we wanted to go on a little trip. We stayed in downtown Vancouver, at The Loden Hotel. The hotel was beautiful and we enjoyed walking around town checking out the shops. We also took a little boat ride to Grenville Island, which is a little marketplace like Pike Place, but WAY nicer.

Hailey was a great traveler, but the second night we were there she came down with a nasty cold. She woke up about every hour crying and there wasn't anything we could do to make her feel better. Poor baby. We were worried other guests would complain about her crying, but no one did (thankfully!!).

Overall, it was a great trip and we look forward to going up there again.

Playing in the yard

Hailey got to spend some time in our front yard enjoying the nice weather. It was the first time she really crawled around in grass, and she really liked it. She kept grabbing handfuls of grass and then dropping them in her lap. She also found a pinecone that she thought was pretty neat.

Children's Musuem

We checked out the Children's Museum in Burlington last weekend and we thought it was pretty cool. It was a slow day, so there weren't too many other kids there. Hailey seemed to have a good time in the music room and with the puppets. I think in a couple more months she will love that place.

Tulip Festival

We went to the Tulip Festival a week or two ago, and it was a really nice day but the tulips hadn't bloomed yet. So we just went to Roozengaarde and enjoyed the tulips there!

Hailey first got to taste a dill pickle while we were in Hawaii, and we expected her to make a funny face but she didn't. She never really has any reaction to food, it's strange. Here she is enjoying a dill pickle yesterday.

Eating bananas

Hailey got to try bananas for the first time last week. I have held off giving them too her because I was supposedly allergic to them as a child. However, I decided to give them a try too and haven't had any reaction to them! We both think they are pretty good!

Hailey is a total daddy's girl, and loves to crawl all over Jeff.

9 month stats

Last week Hailey had her 9 month appointment. She weighs 16 lbs 7.5 oz (11%) and is 27.5 inches tall (49%). I was really surprised that she doesn't weigh more because she eats like a horse, but she is also very active.

Hailey now can clap when you ask her too, it's cute. She loves it when you say "yay!" and clap with her. She also loves to wave at things and people.

She is officially a crawler, she loves to crawl to the dogs and see what they are up too. We haven't really started baby proofing, but we need to find the time to do it soon.

Hailey is getting her 7th tooth. So far she has 4 on top, and 3 on the bottom.

She is eating a lot of solid foods now, some of her favorites are bananas, avocado, pinto beans, cheese, and crackers.

We are still doing the Mommy and Me classes, which we both really enjoy. It's 2 hours every week, and the babies have free range of a room filled with mats and toys. It's fun to interact with other moms and babies.

Hailey had a busy day today. We went to Everett and had lunch at Anthony's with Aunt Candice, then we headed to Legion Park to celebrate the 1st birthday of our friend's son. Hailey did great the whole day and lasted a long time without a nap. She ended up sleeping the whole way home, but she was still tired. This video proves it! She actually fell asleep in the Jumperoo! It was adorable, we watched as she started nodding off and then she would all the sudden start jumping again, and then nod off again! So cute!

Big news!

I been horrible about posting lately, I hope to catch up very soon. Big news! Hailey is crawling!! She started going forward on Monday, we went to baby class where she got to see a lot of babies crawling around, and the next day she was on the move!! Video to come very soon!

Also, she has 6 teeth!!! 4 on top, 2 on the bottom. Her 9 month check up is next week, so stats to come soon too!
