Nap time!

Daddy and Hailey taking a nap after a long walk. As you can see Hailey is still swaddled, is that bad? We can't get her to sleep or stay asleep any other way. I'm convinced that we will be swaddling her for the rest of her life! Any suggestions on how to break the habit?

Hanging with Aunt Michelle!

Today Hailey and I got to hang out with my friend Michelle in Mt. Vernon. It was a lot of fun, and definitely something we should do more often!

Thursday fun

We needed a lightweight stroller to take to Hawaii, this is Hailey testing it out.

Bababa!

Hailey is still loving her measuring cups and bowls.

Yesterday she started making a "babababa" sound. It's really cute and if we mimic her, she makes the mouth movement like she is making the sound but nothing comes out.

We had her 6 month pics taken yesterday and the photographer got some really cute ones. I will post them after we get them back :-)

Dog toy

Hailey LOVES to watch Moose and Caesar play fetch. She especially loves to grab this blue toy and wave it around, which drives the dogs crazy! The dogs are really gentle with her and often grab the toy out of her hands much to her delight. The toy sometimes ends up in her mouth, but we do our best to prevent that.

Hailey learned how to shake her rattle this weekend, she loves to make noise!

Hailey has figured out how to drink out of her sippy cup now, but hasn't quite figured out how to hold it and drink out of it at the same time.

Hailey has mastered sitting up on her own. She loves to sit and watch the dogs run by as they chase the ball, which is what she was doing in these pictures.

Why?

Why do we spend so much money on toys for Hailey? She enjoys the simple things, like playing with measuring cups. She has been carrying them around with her and they keep her entertained better than anything else, who knew?

Elmo chair

Hailey LOVES Elmo. When she sees his picture, she smiles and coos, it is so cute. So of course we had to get her this Elmo chair that giggles and vibrates when something touches it.

New car seat

Hailey got a new big girl car seat today. It is rated #1 for safety by Consumer Reports, and it happens to be super cute! It is very soft and comfy too. Hailey will continue to be rear facing until she is a year old and then she can face the front. She was getting so heavy to pack around in her infant seat, and her little feet were hanging over the edge, so it was time for an upgrade!

Seattle Aquarium

A couple weeks ago, we went down to the Seattle Aquarium. Hailey did awesome and slept all the way there. She enjoyed looking at the fish, seals and octopus. It was a lot of fun, and we can't wait to take her back there when she is a bit older.
