Chuck E. Cheese

Jeff and I are both on nights, so our schedules are the exact opposite so one of us can be home with Hailey at night. So we haven't had a day off together in 17 days! So on Wednesday we wanted to do something fun as a family...so we headed off to Chuck E. Cheese in Burlington! It was practically empty, so it was nice and quiet. Hailey was a bit intimidated at first of the rides and especially of the big Mouse that moves, but after Grandma got there, she was ready to try a bit of everything. Jeff took Hailey up in the tubes to play, she really liked crawling around and looking down at us. It was a great day.

I am looking forward to returning to day shift in early December, so I can return to a normal schedule. Also, I am SO excited for the upcoming Holidays! Jeff and I both work Thanksgiving night, so Hailey is going to spend the night with my parents, and we are going to celebrate our Thanksgiving on Saturday. Jeff and I both have Christmas off this year which is amazing! I can't wait to get our tree up :-)

Whatcom Falls and pizza

We haven't been about to play outside much lately, so during a break in the rain we picked up a pizza and when to Whatcom Falls park to let Hailey burn off some energy. We got to play for a good 20 minutes before it started hailing.

Windy days

Hailey has some new words she likes to say: "Night Night" and "cheese". She is learning so much each day. When we get home from somewhere now, she wants to take her sweatshirt off and tried to take her shoes off because she sees us doing it. She also likes to wear our shoes.

The weather has been windy, rainy and nasty! We had a large tree branch fall on the house a couple days ago, and Jeff was working so he wasn't here to check it out, but I told him about it in the morning. Didn't think much about it until later the next night when Hailey spotted a big water mark on the ceiling and asked "what's that?". Turns out the branch punctured the roof. The next day we had a roofing company come out and fix it. We thought we were going to have to replace sheet rock and insulation, but it's not that bad. We are just waiting for it to dry out, and then we will begin the fun task of painting the ceiling :-(

Helper

Jeff got a new stereo thingie and Hailey really wanted to help him get it set up...but then she got distracted by his hat and stole it off his head so she could wear it.

Also, Hailey likes to turn her sippy cup upside down on the carpet and watch the liquid come out. I hate it and I have to either take the cup away or follow her around to make sure she isn't doing it. Well, now Hailey has started cleaning up the spills herself. She spills the liquid, then goes in to the kitchen, grabs the towel off the fridge and goes to the spot and "wipes" it up. It's pretty darn cute and really makes us realize what a sponge she is. We forget that she is always watching us and learning from our behaviors.

Ear infections

For the past couple days, Hailey has been pretty cranky at bedtime and hasn't been sleeping well. She also threw up once :-( So I took her to the doctor today, and she has two ear infections, poor girl! Here she is at dinner, trying to put food in her ear, probably because they hurt.

Tutu time

Hailey really likes this tutu, and I'm glad because it's is super cute. She will carry it over to me, and then sit down on the ground while hitting it on her feet to let us know that she wants to wear it. It really completes any outfit. :-)

My family

New footwear

Hailey got new ladybug boots and she finally fits in to her pink, sparkly Converse shoes. The first time she wore her new boots, she walked around like a cat with tape on it's feet!

Daddy's hat

Hailey is a lucky girl, she gets to play with Jeff's old Trooper hat. She likes to put it on her head, and she likes to sit on it. She looks hilarious walking around in it. She also likes to play rough with Moose. I think Moose likes it.

Updates

Hailey is really into baby dolls right now. She rocks them, gives them a bottle and pushes them around in her stroller. She also says "baby". It is so cute how nurturing she is. She also likes to get in to her dolls stroller and be pushed around :-)

Hailey also is really in to The Wiggles right now. She knows the dances and copies what she sees them doing. It's really cute, I will try and post some video soon.

Hailey got her swine flu vaccine last week, so we are hoping to have a flu free winter. Hailey has been so healthy so far, she has only had 2 colds and hasn't had a fever yet. Hopefully we can keep it that way.

We started taking Hailey to a new daycare last month, and we are really happy about the switch. This daycare is 5 minutes from our house, and the people absolutely love Hailey. She cries a little bit when we drop her off, but she stops as soon as we are out of eye sight. We also get a daily report card about the activities they did that day, how long she napped and how much she ate. She is still only going to daycare about 5-6 days a month so that I can sleep during the day while Jeff is working day shift. Next week, Jeff and I will both be on graveyard shift, which should be interesting. Thankfully, Jeff was able to switch around some nights with a co worker, so Hailey will only need to stay at my parent's house overnight once. But the schedule sucks for our family time, we don't have a day off together until Nov. 18 :-( It just makes us more appreciative of the time we do have together.

Stoney Ridge 2009

Halloween 2009

On Halloween we started off by going to Stoney Ridge pumpkin patch and then we went to Mt.Vernon to trick or treat at my parents house, then we headed back to Bellingham to trick or treat at Jeff's dad's house. Hailey was a little pink butterfly, and she really seemed to enjoy wearing her costume.
