Hospital info

Maybe if I post this information it will make Hailey decide to come sooner... :-)

We are having Hailey at St. Joseph's Hospital here in Bellingham. We will be allowing visitors, so come on down! Visiting hours are 8am-830pm, however children under 12 are NOT allowed to visit unfortunately, so keep that in mind. Jeff and I will have our cell phones, and the hospital has WiFi...so we will still be connected. Everyone can expect LOTS of pictures and updates!!

The hospital is very easy to find. The address is 2901 Squalicum Parkway Bellingham 98225. The Childbirth Center is behind the hospital in it's own building.

The hospital also has an online baby photo album that they update every couple days with pictures of the new babies that are born...so Hailey's picture will be on there, along with her stats. The website for that is...www.newbabynews.net/hospitals/stj5/public/
Click on the month and she should come up :-)

Lazy days

This weekend was so nice and sooooo hot! We had a lazy weekend of relaxing and going on lots of walks. Hailey is still content where she is, I haven't had any contractions or any other progress so far (that I know of). We go back to the doctor on Tuesday and we are hoping to learn that I have at least dilated some! We are so ready to meet this little girl!

Here are some pics from the weekend...

Hidden Village

My parents are camping at Hidden Village RV park in Lynden this weekend in their new RV. They decided to hang around close to home in case little Hailey decides to arrive this weekend...I sure do hope Hailey decides to make an appearance this weekend because I am SO uncomfortable. My back is really sore, I'm tired all the time and I just feel BLAH.

Eviction notice for Hailey

I saw this on someone else's blog and thought it was pretty cute...

Eviction notice for Hailey Teresa
June 25, 2008

Ms. Hailey:

Please note that this coming Tuesday, July 1, 2008, which, as you have been orally reminded for several months now, is the "Due Date" referenced in the lease that you agreed to approximately nine months ago, and thus the date by which you were supposed to vacate your current premises. Following a routine inspection of the property on June 23rd, I have been advised that you have not yet begun to make sufficient preparations towards moving. I am also advised that you may have changed the locks, as the inspector was unable to obtain access to the property.

Please note that, if your departure continues at this pace, you will be in violation of the lease, which was entered into in good faith, with the expectation that you would honor its terms. Accordingly, I have no choice but to advise you that if you do not voluntarily remove yourself from the premises within the next 14 days, I will have no choice but to commence formal eviction proceedings, and I have already put the proper authorities on notice. As you have been repeatedly advised, your new accommodations are in fact ready and awaiting your arrival, so your cooperation in voluntarily moving out of the current premises, avoiding the time and inconvenience of more formal, compelled proceedings, would be much appreciated. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Sincerely,
The Landlord

Jeff's Blog

Jeff now has a blog, I have it saved under my Friends list off to the right of my page. Check it out, it's really cool! Now everyone can stay even more updated with what we are up too!!

Hailey wants to stay in my belly...

At the doctor's appt today, I did another non stress test, everything looks great still! They also monitored me to see if I was having any contractions (I wasn't, SAD!). The doctor checked my cervix to see if I was progressing, which I'm not...at all! I was hoping to hear that I was dilated, just a tiny bit at least! But nothing! Hailey must be snuggled in there tight! Our next appt is on July 1st, which is our due date, so I'm hoping that we don't make it to the appt!

Jeff and I are already planning lots of long walks with the dogs, hopefully we can get things moving along before the end of the week.

Update

We went to the doctor today and did the non stress test. They strap a heart monitor to your belly and measure the babies heartbeat and they give you this button to press every time you feel the baby move. The doctor said the test results were "perfect" :-) The doctor explained that the test if to verify that Hailey's heart and brain are working and responding properly.

We saw another doctor today...and she didn't check me either to see if I was dilated!!! What the heck?? Next week (thankfully) we see our regular doctor and I know she won't let me down! I will also do another stress test at the appt.

We are doing a tour of the hospital tomorrow. We have heard that St. Joseph's provides a very in depth tour and informational tour of the birthing center and it will help us know what to expect when we check in. Jeff and I can't believe that we have less than 2 weeks until our due date...it's absolutely amazing!

Doctor update

We had an ultrasound today, Hailey is weighing in at 7 lbs 2 oz, we could also see her cute fat rolls and hair on her head! It was pretty amazing. Hailey has excess fluid in one kidney now, instead of both of them and my amniotic fluid level has decreased since the last ultrasound. Next week, I will do a non stress test before our appt to make sure Hailey is happy and feeling good.

The doctor we saw today is not our regular doctor, so we didn't ask about possibly being induced, and he didn't suggest it was necessary. So we will just wait and see. Part of me would love to be induced a week early because it would end the waiting and anticipation of finally knowing when she is going to be here, but part of me wants the excitement of not knowing! The doctor didn't check me today because he was able to see on the ultrasound that I was not effaced or dilated. Technology is amazing!

After Hailey is born, our pediatrician will do an ultrasound on her to check her kidneys again. Our doctor said that it was hard to get an actual reading of her fluid levels while inside of me. So after she is born they will get a more accurate reading.

Our next appt. is Tuesday the 17th at 1pm, and the belly pic will be up tomorrow. :-)

Shiloh

We doggy sat my parents dog Shiloh while they were enjoying a vacation in France. Shiloh is a 13 year old Jack Russell who can be a bit grumpy. She enjoys a slower paced lifestyle. In other words, she really enjoys her sleep! While she was with us, she was able to catch up on her zzzzzzzz's. We got some funny pictures of her relaxing; Shiloh really enjoyed sleeping on the couch wrapped up in a blanket, which was good because Moose really liked sleeping in her bed!!

Who me??

Dr. appt update

We were supposed to have a doctor's appt today, but Jeff had to go to work early so we rescheduled it for June 11. Next week we will have the ultrasound and an appointment, and hopefully we will learn more about the fluid situation and learn if they are planning to induce us a week early or not.

Sleeping is officially horribly uncomfortable. Besides having to roll myself out of bed every 2 hours to use the bathroom, no position is comfortable. I would give almost anything to be able to sleep on my stomach!!! Working graveyard shift hasn't been too bad, I like it because I can get out and walk around a lot more than I could on day shift, but it is really hard to stay awake and then when I get home, it's really hard to get to sleep. I just keep telling myself that it won't be for too much longer!!

Dog videos

I just learned how to put videos on here...so here are some funny ones of the dogs. Enjoy!

Caesar enjoying the lake!

Moose snoring, she snores like a trucker!

Shiloh attacks! We are dog sitting my parent's dog while they are gone. Shiloh is very protective of her sleeping area...Jeff wanted to tease her a bit but she was A LOT faster than we thought!! She is a bit grumpy if you can't tell!!!

36 weeks 1 day

Car seat is in

The car seat is in! Now that we are fully prepared for Hailey's arrival, she will probably decide to hang out in my belly until her due date or longer! :-)

Hailey's room is finished!!!!

Hailey's room is officially finished!! Jeff put up the rest of the wall border today and then hung up Hailey's name, a cute sign from Auntie Candice that says "Sweet dreams, sleep tight, I love you, good night!" and some little wall hangings with animals on them. The room looks amazing! Jeff also finished a lamp that he has been refurnishing just for Hailey's room. It feels so good to have her room finished. Now all we do is wait for her to arrive!!!
