Funny Elmo video

We got Hailey this huge Elmo balloon for her party. She loved it and had fun watching it float around at her party. Jeff put it in the van and got this funny video of it.

Hailey's 1st birthday party!!

We celebrated Hailey's first birthday today in Mt. Vernon. We did it a week early so it wouldn't interfere with people's 4th of July plans. It was a beautiful day for an outside BBQ and party. Hailey had a great time, and was in a good mood despite only napping for 20 minutes the whole day! She loved her Elmo balloons and she got some really cute outfits and cool toys. We can't believe that she is almost a year old...

Monday night

Cabbage Patch Kid

I thought it would be a fun tradition to give Hailey a Cabbage Patch Kid for every birthday, until she outgrows them. I LOVED my Cabbage Patch dolls when I was a kid, so I assume she will enjoy them too. I had a heck of a time finding them online, and I was sad that I couldn't pick the doll's eye color. So I ended up with a blond doll with brown eyes. Oh well, she is still really cute. Hailey seems to like her too :-)

Happy Father's Day Daddy!

On Father's day, Jeff was getting Hailey's bath ready, and of course she was right there watching his every move. I got her undressed and she was standing on the outside of the tub watching Jeff fill the tub with water. That's when Hailey peed on Jeff's foot! He thought he had splashed water out of the tub and on to his foot, WRONG! It was pretty funny :-)

This is a funny video of Hailey reacting to a picture of a dog on a greeting card. She LOVES dogs and she screechs like this if she sees a dog in person or a picture of a dog. Listen for the "what's that?"!!

Fun times

Here are some more random photos from the last week. Hailey is the sweetest little girl and she amazes us each day with how smart she is. She can blow kisses, clap and wave. When we are out in public, Hailey has started waving and saying "hi" to anyone who passes by. No one can resist her adorable smile and outgoing personality. She still points at everything and says "what's that?"

We are celebrating her 1st birthday this Saturday with an Elmo party. We can't believe that she is almost a year old! So sad!!

Hailey the dog?

Hailey is really in to carrying things in her mouth while she crawls around. We don't know if she is doing it because she sees the dogs doing it, or because it's just a stage she is in. Either way, it's effective and cute! She has been really in to shoes lately, and she carries her shoes around the house and then goes to her room to get more shoes. She ends up with one shoe out of each pair in the living room.

The title sums it up! Hailey finally mastered the sippy cup, I think we tried 4-5 different ones before she accepted this brand.

Zoo!

On Friday we went to the Woodland Park Zoo! It was Hailey's second time there and she enjoyed it a lot this time. She lit up whenever she saw the animals and would point and say "What's that?". We checked out the new penguin exhibit, the monkeys, bears and the birds. We even got to see a baby gorilla! So cute, until the momma gorilla threw up in it's hand and then ate it! GROSS! Jeff got it on video, but I won't post it :-)

Helper
