Baby stuff!
We got this beautiful glider chair from my father-in-law for Christmas. It is SO comfortable and it is going to be perfect for rocking the baby and for all the late night feedings. We put it in the living room for now, until we get the nursery set up. If we sit in it, Moose HAS to get on our lap to look out the window. She has a perfect view of the backyard from our lap, and she loves to watch the squirrels. I can only imagine sitting in the chair with the baby on one arm and Moose on the other!
Thanks again Gary! We love the chair!

Shop with a Cop
Today Jeff participated in "Shop with a Cop." He met up with about 25 other local police officers and together, they drove in a procession with their emergency lights on, to Walmart. All of the children were lined up outside of the store waiting for them to arrive. Jeff was paired up with 2 little boys who were about 6 years old. He helped them pick out a bunch of fun toys. Each child was also able to pick out a new winter coat and a new pair of shoes. After all the shopping, the kids got to meet Santa and have their picture taken with Santa and "their" cop. Here is a picture of Jeff and one of the boys he shopped with.

Yes it's true...
We bought a van! Not just any van, it's the Cadillac of vans! It's a 2007 Honda Odyssey Touring edition. It has excellent safety ratings and tons of airbags to keep us safe. Plus there is tons of room for the baby, the dogs, and all the stuff we are going to be packing around. We couldn't be happier with it!

Christmas picture
It's exciting to think that next year we will have a new addition to the MacDonald family. The dogs are going to be jealous!!
2nd Ultrasound
We had our second appointment and ultrasound today. At the appt. a nurse gave us a ton of information and books to read. However, the most exciting part was the ultrasound! We could see the baby really well and at one point the baby put it's hand up by it's face and "waved", and then it turned it's back on us!! The baby moved around some and even put it's legs straight out. It was amazing. The tech got some really good pictures. In the first picture you can see the different halves of the brain (on the right), and the second picture shows a close up of the baby's hand. Jeff is convinced the baby is going to be left handed because that's the hand the baby used to "wave" at us. The last two pictures show the baby's hand up by it's face. It's legs are tucked up underneath it. We also got to hear the heartbeat. It was so fast and it sounded like a herd of horses. The baby's heartbeat was 171 beats per minute! Our next appt. is Jan. 2 and we will have an appt in Feb. to find out the sex of the baby.

Thank you Cheryl and Joseph!!
My brother Joseph, and soon to be sister in law, Cheryl sent me the cutest preggo care package full of goodies and treats! I can't wait to try the Preggo Pop's, I have heard really good things about them. You can't tell from the picture, but I tested out a few of the chocolates before I took the picture, and they are delicious! Thank you again Joseph and Cheryl, see you at Christmas!!

1st Ultrasound!
We had our first appt. with our OB today, it was so exciting! We got to see our little peanut dancing around all over the screen. We couldn't believe how active it was! We also got to see the heartbeat. In the pictures, the baby's head is in the left corner. Our Dr. gave us the estimated due date of July 4th, and we go back in on Dec. 11th for another ultrasound where they will measure the baby, and we could possibly get to hear the heartbeat. EXCITING!

Police Ball
The Police Ball was lots of fun! The food was good, the company was great, and the entertainment was even better (see the pics of Jeff and Steve below!) We shared a table with our friends Steve and Lisa Dills and Melissa and Todd Fecht. The guys had way too much to drink, but they provided a lot of entertainment and amusement throughout the night. Steve and Jeff spent some time on stage dancing and "singing" along to the band, I only wish I could have gotten it on video!
