Welcome Taylor Jeffrey Locken!!

Amity, Jeff, and Hannah Locken welcomed the newest member of their family in to the world today!! Taylor Jeffrey Locken was born at 8:09 am. He weighed in at 8lbs 13oz and was 21 inches long. Isn't he the cutest?? Taylor, I can't wait to meet you on Friday! Amity and I have already planned Hailee and Taylor's arranged marriage :-) I don't think they will mind!

Updates

Things have been going great. I switched back to day shift which has done wonders for my sleep cycle and for getting things done around the house. I feel great and have more energy then I have had for awhile. Jeff and I are slowly getting things done around the house to prepare for Hailee's arrival. We hope to get new carpet soon, and then we can start officially on the nursery. I can't wait! As you all can see, my belly growth is really coming along! I can't believe how big it is, and how much bigger it is going to get. It is really an amazing thing to experience. I also recently started to feel Hailee moving around. Words can't describe the feeling! I feel guilty for being able to experience it while Jeff can't :-( Hopefully in the next couple weeks, Jeff will be able to feel her squirming around.

This weekend our whole family will be leaving for Sayulita, Mexico! Joseph and Cheryl are getting married there! It's going to be beautiful, and we are looking forward to watching them begin their life together! It will also be nice to get away and enjoy the sunshine! This will probably be our last vacation until next year, so we are going to enjoy it!

More cute stuff!

I think Hailee has more clothes than I do :-) Aunt Jamie found the cutest summer outfit for Hailee, complete with little shoes! It will be perfect for summer.

Mute Button!

Jaime found this hilarious pacifier for Hailee! I just had to share it with everyone! Thanks Jaime, I can't wait to get together with you again soon!

Gifts from Aunty Candice

Aunty Candice got Hailee lots of cute things! Hailee is going to be the best dressed baby on the block!! Thanks Aunty Candice!!

Funny comic

I saw this comic and I thought it was pretty funny. Except for the incorrect due date, this pretty much sums it up. (This only really pertains to strangers!)

Just practicing!

I thought I would practice strapping Mickey into the Papasan swing. He didn't seem to mind :-) The dogs were really interested in it, although it could have been that they wanted to rip Mickey out of the chair and chew on him :-)

21 weeks 1 day...and a big dinner

Jeff cooked up steak tonight, it was delicious. Hailee and I really enjoyed it! I also must mention that maternity lounge pants are the best thing ever created!

Her name is.....

Hailee Teresa MacDonald! Jeff and I can't wait to meet her! We chose Hailee because it's beautiful and Teresa because it was Jeff's mom's name. Now we can finally stop calling her "it"!

Gift from Grandpa

Grandpa MacDonald brought our baby girl the cutest gift! It's a Harley-Davidson gift set with an adorable pink sweatsuit and onesie in it. Our daughter is going to be the cutest little biker girl around! Thanks Grandpa Mac!

Valentine's Day

We went to dinner at the Bellwether for Valentine's Day. It was very romantic and the food was delicious. This night was also the first night I wore maternity clothes!!! My mom helped me pick out some cute clothes that were perfect for the occasion. The pants I wore were called The Miracle Pant. They have elastic inside the waistband, so it's concealed from the world that you are wearing maternity pants. And as you grow, the pants expand. Jeff was thinking he wanted a pair to wear after big family dinners!!

Our fuzzy babies

Our fuzzy babies are in for a surprise in July! I am very interested to see how they react to having a baby in the house. Caesar LOVES kids, but Moose is a little scared of them. I can see Caesar wanting to sleep in the nursery, and Moose will be the one trying to nudge the baby off our laps.
The dogs have been really been our kids for the last couple years, and I hope they accept our new family member!!

20 weeks!

Halfway there!!! The weeks are really flying by...only 20 more to go :-) I have finally gotten to the point where I am able to admit that I need to start wearing maternity clothes. So, last weekend I went out with my mom and actually found some cute outfits. So with the stuff I bought and the stuff that my sister in law loaned me, I should be good to go. Although, I do need to find a bathing suit for Mexico...ugh! The thought of trying on bathing suits, let alone wearing one, makes me feel very uncomfortable. Don't expect to see any bathing suit pics posted here!!!

Papasan swing

Everyone I have talked to with kids swears by this papasan swing, so we got one. It's a really comfy looking swing and has lots of cool features on it. We are sure our little one will love it.

Teenie Weenie puppies!

My friend Amity found the cutest clothes from Gymboree! The clothing line is called "Teenie Weenie Puppies." The clothing line is actually discontinued, but Amity discovered that most of this stuff is being sold new with tags on Ebay for reasonable prices! I am very excited!! Everyone knows how obsessed I am with weiner dogs, so these outfits are perfect for our little girl!

19 weeks

Okay, just so everyone knows, I try to wear the same type of jeans and belt for the belly pictures so it's easier to see how much I've grown, but I didn't mean to wear the same sweatshirt as last weeks picture. Oh well, a pregnant lady has to be comfortable!!

Girlie clothes!!!

After we found out today that we are having a girl, I was dying to buy some pink stuff!!! Thankfully for me, Target was having a huge baby sale. I found a lot of cute stuff that was on clearance, even better!!! I couldn't pass up a cute little bikini and matching sun hat for our trip to Hawaii in January :-). They had a ton of onesies with cute sayings on them like "Daddy's little sweet pea" and "50% mommy, 50% daddy, 100% cute!" I also bought cute little princess shoes and a pink hooded towel.
Tonight I am going to Home Depot to pick out paint for the nursery. Now our house projects can begin!!

Our baby girl

I was so excited about today that I didn't sleep at all last night! At our appt. we spent about an hour having our ultrasound done. It was amazing how much our little one has changed since we last saw her! She enjoyed having her hand in her mouth and we were able to see her mouth opening and her tongue coming out. She cooperatated with having her picture taken and her measurements taken, but when it came time to see "the goods", she was a bit shy. After a lot of poking and proding, she finally gave us a great shot (picture 4). Everything looked good, she does have some fluid in her kidneys (renal pelvis dialation) which isn't normal, but the doctor said it wasn't something of great concern, and it's something that might go away with time. We will have another ultrasound at about 30 weeks to check the kidneys again. We got to hear her heartbeat, it was going strong at 146 beats per minute, and they estimated she weighs about 9 ounces.
The first picture below is of our baby girl face down, her head is on the left and she has her hand tucked under her chin. The second picture is of her hand and arm. The third is of her cute little foot (the white spot under the black circle). And finally, the shot of her girl parts. Her legs look stubby because the area from the knee down is hidden behind her thighs.
We don't have any names yet, so we will get working on that. She is going to be a Daddy's girl, that's for sure!

It's a girl!!!!

Pictures and more info to come....
