Aquarium

Wow, our vacation went fast! I start back to work tomorrow after 12 days off, and Jeff goes back next week. We managed to do a lot of fun stuff before the weather completely changed, thankfully! We went to the Seattle Aquarium yesterday. Hailey got to see an octopus, seals, and lots of fish. She had a great time running around the aquarium, and it made us realize how independent Hailey has become. She wants to walk on her own now most of the time, and if she doesn't get her way, she will stomp her feet and cry. So it begins!

15 months old

Our little baby is already 15 months old. It makes me sad and excited at the same time. Sad because Hailey is loosing her "baby" look, and excited because of all the things that Hailey is learning and the personality that she is developing. Here is a list of the things Hailey is doing now:

-Giving big hugs.
-Giving kisses when asked (with a wide open mouth).
-Blowing kisses.
-She knows where her belly button, ears, nose and head are and will point to them when asked.
-Says "Momma","Dada", "dog", "hi", "what's that".
-Starting to use spoon/fork.
-Knows what sound a duck and a cow make.
-Squeals with delight whenever she sees an animal, especially dogs and cats.
-She has mastered walking, and is soooo close to running.
-Sleeps 12+ hours a night.
-Mastered the sippy cup and has started drinking from a baby cup.

There are so many things that she is doing, and I know that I am forgetting some. We are amazed how fast Hailey learns things, and it is really fun exposing her to new things!

Mariner's Game

On Monday we went to the last Mariner's game of the season, it was also Ken Griffey Jr.'s last game ever. It was a beautiful day for a baseball game, and we had a great seats. My mom watched Hailey so Jeff and I could enjoy a date day. On the way home from the game, we met up with friends at the Tulalip Casino and enjoyed dinner and a bit of gambling.

Victoria BC

This past weekend we headed to Victoria BC via the Vancouver ferry. We had never been to Victoria but had heard it was a fun place to visit. Our hotel was nice, and had a partial view of the ferry and seaplanes coming in to the harbor. We did a lot of fun activities, including going to the Bug Zoo, Miniature World, and Undersea Gardens. We also checked out the Parliment Building, which was really cool (it's the one with lights on it in the photos below). Hailey had a blast walking all over the place, and we tested out a new backpack with a leash on it. I know, it may sound mean, and I certainly never thought I would put a leash on my child, but she is FAST! Plus with the backpack, she can carry her own extra diapers and wipes :-)

Our hotel had an employee that was called "Duckman", and each morning he would feed the ducks in front of the hotel. Jeff took Hailey down to check it out, and she loved it! If you ask her what ducks say she says "quack, quack!". It is adorable! We also visited the Butterfly gardens, which was pretty neat.
