McCoy Christmas
We got almost no pictures of our Christmas celebration with my family :-( Jeff did get a picture of my 86 year old Grandma playing Wii, so I had to post it. Everyone got spoiled and Hailey got lots of fun gifts. Next year we will get pictures!
Hailey cruisin'
We took Hailey and the VW down to the school to play around. She did really good "driving" it, which consisted of her pressing on the gas, letting off, pressing, letting off, and laughing. It was very entertaining. She also loves to just sit in the car in the living room. She will open the door, get in, close the door, open the door get out and repeat, over and over again. I told her it is the only new car she will ever get from us :-)

Christmas morning pics
We didn't a ton of pictures from Christmas morning :-( But here are some action shots of Hailey enjoying her gifts from Santa. She got a Barbie Power Wheels VW beetle, a dancing Mickey Mouse, a singing Barney, new shoes, and miscellaneous other goodies. She got a cute little apron from her Great Aunt that holds crayons, and Hailey thought that was pretty cool! Hailey was a bit scared of the Barbie car, but by the next day she was going up and down the hall. It was a wonderful, exciting day.

Christmas morning...
Santa came! Jeff and I were both off on Christmas Eve and Christmas this year, woohoo! That has never happened, not to mention we were both off on Thanksgiving and we will be off together on New Year's Eve :-) We are counting our blessing this year for a lot of reasons...anyhoo, back to Christmas morning...Jeff and I were both awake at 8am, so we went ahead and opened our gifts to each other. Hailey finally woke up at about 945 and she got to dig in to the presents. I will post pictures in the next post.

Breakfast with Santa
Hailey got to have breakfast with Santa a couple weekends ago, thanks to Nana! We met up with our bro in law, Travis, and Ashley and Lincoln at the Haggen's in Ferndale. Hailey didn't like this Santa and did not want to sit on his lap. So we sat her on Ashley's lap while she was sitting with Santa. The photographer got a great picture of all of the kids and Hailey screaming :-) I can't wait to get the picture.
Nana also gave Hailey juice for the first time, and Hailey really enjoyed it.

Holiday Port Festival
We checked out the Holiday Port Festival yesterday, it was pretty neat. They had a gingerbread house competition, dancers, singers and of course Santa! Hailey was cranky and wanted to walk around but there were tons of people there so it just wasn't possible. We didn't stay long, but still had a good time. Hailey really liked a stuffed bear that was there.

17 months old
Our little lady is 17 months old already! She is such an active, sweet girl. She surprises us everyday with new things she has learned. Here are some things I don't want to forget about her at this age:
-How she loves her baby dolls sooo much, and walks around with them saying "baby". Also, how nurturing she is with them, from feeding them a bottle, patting them on the back and covering them with a blanket.
-The way Hailey climbs in to our bed, puts her head on our pillows and says "night night".
-How when she doesn't get her way, she stamps her feet and cries. (It really shouldn't be cute, but it is, and I know one day we will miss it).
-The ways she loves ALL animals, and gets a huge smile on her face when she sees animals, dogs and cats especially.
-When we ask Hailey if she is poopy, she says "Noooo" in a cute voice...and she is totally lying.
-Her intense love for us. The hugs she gives with all of her strength.
-The way she dances when she hear The Wiggles. Her favorite songs are Rock a bye your Bear and Fruit Salad.
-Her love for Mickey Mouse...and Barney...and Elmo.
-How in the bathtub, if you tell her it's time to get out and try to reach in to get her, she lays down and splashs around while laughing. This is her favorite game and will continue until you have to reach in and get soaked trying to get her out. She thinks it's the funniest thing in the world.
-The way she says "oooohhhh" if she thinks something is pretty.
-How her diaper makes a swishing sound when she runs up and down the hallway.
-How she goes to sleep at 730 or 800pm and sleeps until 930am :-)
-How much of a social butterfly she is. But only if she is able to make the first move or say the first "hi".
-Her beautiful smile, that she loves to show off.
-How much we love her, and would do anything for her.
-The way her "innie" belly button becomes an "outie" after she eats a lot or drinks a lot of milk.
-Her beautiful red hair, that EVERYONE comments on while we are out on the town.
-Her love for books, and how she wants us to read her the same book over and over again.
-The way she runs to the kitchen to get the towel after spilling on the floor, and then proceeds to wipe up the spill.
-Her ability to always make us laugh and smile.

Pictures with Santa
Christmas tree is up
We got our Christmas tree up a couple days ago. Hailey was really interested in it and liked the feel of the branches. After she went to bed, Jeff and I got it all decorated. The next morning when Hailey saw it, she said "oooooh!" She likes to touch the ornaments, but hasn't really started pulling them off, yet. This is the earliest we have ever put up the tree, and I hope we continue to put it up during the first week of December. It makes the house feel magical!
We are almost done with our Christmas shopping, and I am so thankful because the holiday traffic is awful, and I don't want to go near the mall unless I have too.
