Sweet cheeks

After bath time each night, Hailey gets to zip around the house naked for a few minutes before PJ time.

Almost summer!

Warm weather=cute little dresses for Hailey! We can't believe that our little baby is almost 11 months old. The time has gone way too fast and we wish we could slow it down. Hailey has 8 teeth now and is doing a really good job of walking behind her toys. She loves it when we help her walk across the room and laughs the whole time. She is sleeping through the night and has been for about a month (woohoo!!) Just recently she spend 2 full days at daycare for the first time and did really well. Jeff and I are both on days this month and next month, so Hailey will be spending about 5 full days a month at daycare. It's hard to know that someone else is taking care of her all day long, but she loves to play with the other kids and we know she is having fun.

Hailey continues to be a little ham. She LOVES to wave and clap at strangers. No one can resist her little toothy grin. She can now say "dada", "mama", "what's that?", "hi" and "bye". She points at everything constantly and asks "what's that?" It's adorable. Hopefully we can get it on video soon.

Vegas!

Anyone who knows me, knows that I am HORRIBLE at keeping surprises a secret. Actually, Jeff and I are both horrible at this. We are known to give each other early birthday and Christmas presents because we can't stand waiting. Sooooooo, back in April I decided that I wanted to surprise Jeff with a mini vacation somewhere for just the 2 of us. I decided on Las Vegas because we both like it there, it's warm and it's a quick plane ride. For an entire month I kept it a secret, it was hard let me tell you! Finally the day came to leave, and Jeff still had no idea where we were going, and that Hailey wasn't going with us, in fact he thought Hailey was asleep in her room, while in fact she was at my parent's house!! With my parents watching Hailey and Moose, and Jeff's dad watching Caesar we set off off to Starbucks. After Jeff got his coffee, I made him wear an eye mask until we got to the Bellingham Airport. Jeff was totally surprised and very excited!

It was 93 degrees when we landed, and it was beautiful and hot the whole time we were there. We stayed at the Planet Hollywood and enjoyed good food and a little gambling, maybe too much gambling...and food :-) We also saw a few shows, which we have always wanted to do in Vegas but never had the time. We saw Steve Wyrick, who is a magician, Cirque du Soleil "O", and Terry Fator, who is a comedian-ventriloquist-impressionist all rolled in to one.

Overall it was an awesome trip! Hailey did great for my parents and they said she was a complete angel the whole time. It was hard to be away from her, but we knew that she was being spoiled rotten, so that made it a bit easier!

The picture of the turtle is from the Terry Fator show. We got it for Hailey because she loves puppets!

Cutie!

Hailey loves to be by the sliding glass door so she can watch what the dogs are doing outside. She loves to stand up on the door and bang on the glass. She is such a fast crawler now, we can't take our eyes off of her!

Sick little girl

Please ignore the HUGE boogers in Hailey's nose, she had a nasty cold and she was just miserable. But I LOVE this picture because her eyes are so beautiful!

New backpack!

REI had an awesome sale and we couldn't pass up this Kelty backpack. Hailey has already been on a few walks in it and to a parade. It should come in pretty handy this summer! She seems to really enjoy riding around in it because she can see everything!

Helping mommy

Hailey is such a busy girl now. She is a super fast crawler and she likes to get in to everything. Here a picture of her helping me fold laundry...it was the only way I could keep her in one spot.
