Hailey had her 6 month check up today. She weighs 14 lbs 11 oz (25%), she is 26 inches long (60%), and her head size is 42 cm (30%). She is growing like a weed. She got more shots today :-( Those are never fun.

6 months!
Hailey turned 6 months old 2 days ago!!! We can't believe it, she is growing up too fast! She continues to amaze us each day, and she changes every single day. She has 2 bottom teeth now (ouch!), she is sitting up on her own mostly, she can roll both ways over and over again, and she is eating a lot of solid food. We introduced a sippy cup a few days ago, and that has been fun to watch :-)

Sitting up
Look who is sitting up on her own now? She can sit up for more than a couple minutes on her own before tumbling to the side, although she does a pretty good job of catching herself. We can't believe that she is going to be 6 months old in 4 days. CRAZY!! She has her 6 month doctor's appt. next Friday and we are excited to see how much weight she has gained. She is a little milk hound!

Gimmie some!
Hailey really loves watching us eat. She gets really excited and waves her arms frantically. She really likes avocados and squash. She seems to enjoy applesauce too.
Duck bath
Here is Hailey enjoying her new duck bath tub and toys. She loves taking a bath. She kicks her legs and gets everything soaking wet. She is doing really well at sitting up and can sit on her own for a few minutes at at time.
2009
I have been busy and haven't been able to blog! We can't believe that Christmas is over and that it is 2009 already! It's crazy!
We had a good Christmas, although it was rushed and spread out over a couple of days. I went to work at 10a on Christmas day, so Hailey got to open her presents that morning. She got a lot of fun stuff including an Elmo chair, a new bath tub, bath toys, lots of new socks and toys. Jeff had to work Christmas night, so Hailey got to spend the day with my parents, which they enjoyed. After work I drove to Mt Vernon to pick up Hailey, and had a late Christmas dinner with my parents, brother and sister in law.
We celebrated Christmas with my family on Saturday and with Jeff's on Sunday. Hailey was very spoiled and got lots of new fun things.
We have a lot of pictures and video of Christmas, but I will have to post those later.
Jeff worked on New Year's Eve, and Hailey and I went to bed around 9pm...not too exciting in our house :-) Nothing like ringing in the New Year fast asleep! We are excited to see what the new year brings us.
