Oregon trip 2010

We borrowed my parent's RV and headed to Oregon to see my best friend Jen, her hubby Matt and their 2 year old son Cal. We drove to Eugene, OR where the kiddos got to run around and play together for a couple days before we headed over to the coast. After leaving Eugene, we headed to Jesse Honeyman State Park in Flourence, OR which is famous for their sandy dunes. We got to watch people race their quads up "competition hill" and Hailey got to play in the sand, which she loved.
We camped at 4 other parks along the coast and explored Seaside (Hailey got to feed seals), Tillamook (we ate tasty cheese and ice cream at the Tillamook factory), Cannon Beach (We saw Haystack Rock and HUGE waves) , and Astoria (We stopped at the Goonies house! Pic at the bottom) on our way back to WA. Once back to WA, we stayed at SeaQuest State Park and explored the Mt. St. Helens museum. Unfortunately, it was too foggy to actually see Mt. St. Helens, but it was fun none the less.
We didn't have the fantastic weather we had hoped for, in fact, it was rainy, windy and cold for a lot if the trip. But we still had a blast and enjoyed our first camping adventure as a family. Hailey was such a great camper, and did great on the long drives. She slept great and had so much fun playing in the sand and running from the ocean waves. She was constantly asking to go to the "beep" (beach).
