Kangaroo Farm

On Thursday we went down to Arlington to visit The Outback Kangaroo Farm. We took a 40 minute guided tour through the farm and we got to see lots of kangaroos, bunnies, monkeys, llama's, donkey's, a miniature horse, and even an ostrich! Hailey had a lot of fun petting the kangaroo's and seeing the baby kangaroo's riding in their mother's pouch. We got to feed most of the animals, and Hailey used her mouth to feed the llama's and loved every minute of it.

We will definitely go back and visit again soon!

Gymnast?

Hailey really surprised us the last time we were at the playground. She was hanging on these bars and holding herself off the ground for like 20 seconds. She just kept doing it over and over. I guess we were just surprised that she was this strong. Hailey is starting a gymnastics class on Wednesday at North Coast Gymnastics Academy and I can't wait to see her in action. I was hoping that they were going to tell me that she needed to wear a leotard to class, but they said comfy clothes is just fine :-( I think little leotards are the cutest!!

Larrabee State Park

A few days ago we went to Larrabee State Park to play on the beach. We hunted for crabs, threw rocks in the water and checked out the tide pools. Hailey had such a great time, she just loves spending time outside exploring.

Pancake feed

Last Saturday we went to a Fire Dept. near our house for a pancake feed. We ate some yummy food (we discovered Hailey loves sausage), then we checked out all the fire vehicles and watched older kids ride their bikes around a safety course.

Hovander Park

On a sunny day last week, we went to Hovander Park in Ferndale to see the animals and get some sun. Hailey loved the animals and even got nibbled on by a duck. It was so nice to be outside in the warm sun, it actually felt like summer! After the park, we went to DQ for a sweet treat!

The Human Race

A couple of weekends ago, before I got sick, Hailey and I did another 5K called The Human Race. It was down on the Bellingham waterfront and it was a beautiful day. Our time was 35:35, which I was pretty happy about because I hadn't trained very much. After the race, there was a lunch and a festival. Hailey got a cool hummingbird balloon...

Father's Day

Father's Day was pretty mellow around our house this year. I have been super sick with strep throat for the past week and have been pretty useless, so I wasn't able to give Jeff a fabulous Father's Day, in fact, he got up and made waffles for him and Hailey, then he opened his cards from all of us and then he took Hailey to the park to play while I slept :-( What a great daddy he is!

Jeff's Father's Day gift this year is the new iPhone 4 which will be arriving in the mail on Wednesday. We are both pretty excited about them because we are techie like that :-)

Happy Father's Day Jeff! Thanks for being such an amazing daddy to our princess and for being such a supportive, and great hubby to me. We love you!

Happy Father's day to my Dad, who spent his special day alone in Singapore for work :-( and Happy Father's Day to my father in Law, Gary! Love you both!
