Hailey Just Learned to Clap Her Hands

Hailey update

Hailey is almost 9 months old, WOW! She is such a happy girl. She is full of smiles for everyone, and loves to wave at people to get their attention. She brings so much joy to our lives, it's hard to imagine how we got along without her! She hasn't started crawling yet, but it won't be long. She will push herself all around the living room backwards, and she also gets up on her hands and knees and rocks back and forth.

Hailey is a chatty little girl, and loves to babble, coo, and giggle. She is in love with the dogs and loves to watch their every move. She waves at them when they come in to the room and giggles when they kiss her.

Hailey is still sleeping in our bed most of the time, something we hope to change soon, but with Jeff and I working opposite shifts it's just easier to have her close to us. She is also swill being swaddled, something I am going to work on changing this weekend!

I signed up for another Mommy and Me class for 8-12 month olds, I start at the end of the month. It should be fun and a lot of the mom's and babies that were in my last class are also in this class.

Hawaii House

We had the best time in Hawaii, I think it was the best vacation I have ever been on. We stayed in a beautiful house, the weather was warm, despite some rain and we had lots of fun!

Hailey did fantastic on the plane, she took a couple naps and played with her toys and we then we were there! She got 3 teeth while we were in Hawaii, her 2 top ones and one on the left side of the top ones. Just like with her bottom teeth, they didn't seem to bother her at all. She slept well and played hard too!

Hailey also swam for the first time in the heated pool at the house and she played in the sand for the first time. She was a bot scared of both activities at first, but she quickly loved swimming and playing in the sand.

We are already thinking about going back to Oahu, and we would LOVE to live there!!

Hawaii!

We are so excited, we are leaving for Hawaii on Saturday! It will be the first time flying with Hailey, and though we are nervous about it, I think she will do great. We recently started letting her watch Elmo and Baby Einstein videos, which she LOVES. So we bought a portable DVD player for the plane ride. Normally I am packed days in advance for trips, but this time around, I just can't seem to get packed. I just have piles of stuff spread through the house of stuff to take. UGH! Hopefully we can get it all done tomorrow!

Lake Padden

We took Hailey to Lake Padden to feed the ducks earlier this week. We had to hunt for the ducks, but when we finally found them, they were very hungry. Hailey liked watching the ducks and squealed with delight!
