Mother's Day

On Mother's Day, I woke up to beautiful flowers and yummy donuts. Jeff was going to make a big breakfast, but we decided to head down to Seattle first thing to see my Grandma. Hailey made me an apron that she covered in her hand prints in all sorts of colors. It is really cute. After a quick visit from my Father in Law, who brought me a beautiful hanging basket, we went to great mimi's house. Hailey had a blast seeing great mimi and her cat. Grandma was excited to learn that we were having another baby (her memory isn't so great), so every couple minutes she acted like it was the first time she was hearing of baby #2. It was funny, but sad at the same time.

After our visit, we went to the zoo, where Jeff found the best parking spot possible!! (His badge #) Surprisingly it wasn't very busy, and it was actually warm enough to just wear a t shirt! Hailey had a lot of fun feeding the Willawong birds, and just running around.

After the zoo, we stopped by to see my parents house for a visit. It was a long day, and Hailey and I were so thankful that Jeff drove so we could both sleep. :-)

Park

Hailey loves going to this playground at Sunnyland Elementary...it's where Jeff went to school, so she likes to say "I want to go to the park where daddy went to when he was a tiny boy." It's pretty darn cute...and they have a ginormous slide that Hailey loves.

Easter

Jeff and I were both off on Easter, which was a treat! When Hailey woke up, we went in to her room, and the first thing she said was "Easter Bunny?" It was really cute :-) She was very excited to find an Easter basket full of treats, and then she got to find all the eggs hidden around the house. That evening we went to Mt Vernon to have Easter dinner with my family. It was a great day...and we still have tons of candy left over.

The day before Easter, I took Hailey to an Easter egg hunt at a retirement center here in Bellingham...it wasn't much of a "hunt" because all the eggs and treats were out in the open, but I think the kids like seeing all the goodies laying out in the open anyway. Hailey got a basket full of treats, including a big chocolate bunny which still hasn't been eaten :)

"H"

Hailey learned how to draw an "H" last month!! She (and us too) are so excited about it! Now whenever she colors, she draws "H" over and over again. She even drew one in the side of our dirty van with her finger!

Hailey can count to 12, and she knows higher numbers, but can't quite get them in order. She knows her full name, as well as ours. She knows her birthday and that she is going to be 3 in July. She also knows what road we live on and what road her Nana lives on. We are so amazed by her little mind and what she retains. She recently started using the word "stupid" randomly. Not sure where she picked it up, but we are definitely trying to break that.

Randoms

There is just too much to catch up, so here are just a few pictures we have taken over the last month.

Baby Mac #2

I am SO behind on posting this, but we are pregnant! Here is a picture on the day we found out, 02/24/11. We are so excited, and can't wait to add to our happy family. Our due date is Nov. 1, 2011.

Preschool

On Feb. 22, Hailey started in the Preschool class at the YMCA. They said she was more then ready to move up, which was great to hear but it still made me a little sad that she is growing up SO fast. We also increased her attendance from 2 days a week to 3 days a week so she can get used to being in a school environment. She is enjoying her new teachers, but I think the thing she likes the most is the new playground which includes multiple puddles to play in! We figured out quickly to send rubber boots to school for when they go outside!

Hailey is learning a lot and recently counted to 10. She isn't consistent with counting all the way to 10 each time, but we are working on it. She is really in to singing and loves to sing the Barney song, Jingle Bells, Going on a Bear Hunt, Twinkle Twinkle and Old MacDonald.

She also knows her whole name, our full names and where we work. It's SO cute to hear her say "Washington State Patrol!"

Silly girl

This is what a blue lollipop does...

Cousins

This is a cute picture of my niece Ashley, nephew Lincoln and Hailey!

Pacific Science Center

Last month we went to Seattle to visit the Seattle Science Center. Jeff and I hadn't been there in forever, so we weren't too sure how much there was going to be for Hailey to do. We were surprised to find that there was a whole toddler area with cool water toys to play with and a little music room. They also had a reptile area and a dinosaur section, which Hailey was afraid of :-) The neatest area was the butterfly room, which was SO hot, but there were butterflies everywhere and Hailey loved it. She kept sticking her finger out so the butterflies could land on it, but they didn't want to.
