1000 Trails

On Labor Day we went visit Jeff's sister and her family in La Conner at 1000 Trails. Now that Hailey is walking, and almost running, it is so hard to sit and visit with anyone because Jeff or I are constantly chasing after her! I don't see how people have more then one! She had a lot of fun playing the dirt and getting all muddy. We also got to see my 3 year nephew Lincoln ride a bike without training wheels! It was really cool!

Hailey carries a big stick...and a smile

Hailey is in to everything these days. And when she knows that she has something she shouldn't, she doesn't want to let go. She has discovered where the dog water is, and she tries to play in it as often as she can :-)

Upper molar

Hailey has another molar popping through on the upper left side, that brings the total to 11 teeth!! She is going to be visiting the dentist for the first time pretty soon!

More progress

Painting is coming along! I was able to get a lot done today while Hailey napped, and then after Jeff got home we put Hailey in the exersaucer, and she played while we painted some more. We got the garage area completed except for a tiny bit of trim, and we got the first coat on the area around our front windows. I am hoping to get the second coat on tomorrow, and then we can finish up on the trim. Our windows are being installed on Tuesday (woohoo!), and our new white gutters and white screen door will be done on the 17th. We originally thought we would just paint the gutters white (they were dark brown), but it takes 3 coats of white to cover up the brown, and it looks ugly, so we are splurging on new ones! After everything is done, Jeff is going to put up new black porch lights that are going to look awesome against the blue. We are excited that things are going so smoothly, we are just hoping that it doesn't rain this weekend like it's supposed to because it would set us back a couple of days.

Little stinker

I bought this skunk costume for Hailey last year during an after Halloween sale, I figured it would fit her perfectly for this year. WRONG! We thought we would try it on her just in case. Good think we did because it was soooooo tight that Hailey couldn't move while she was in it. I had to hold her up so she didn't fall backwards. It is an adorable costume, I'm sad it doesn't fit her.

SunBanks 2009

We went to SunBanks with our friends KC and Jenny, and their 9 month old son, Tristen! Jeff and KC used to work together in Everett, but KC transferred to Clarkston, so we don't get to see them much :-( It was our first time meeting Tristen, and I'm so glad that we got to know him! He is such a sweetie. Hailey and him had fun sharing toys, and they even got to take a bath together! We visited the Grand Coulee Dam and enjoyed catching up after the kids were in bed. We really miss having KC and Jenny close by, but we are excited to begin a yearly tradition of meeting at SunBanks!

CWU

On the way back from SunBanks, we all stopped in Ellensburg to enjoy Campus U Tote em! Which is the best burger place in town! I ate there a lot in college...which probably contributed to my freshman 15 :-) We got the burgers to go, and went to CWU and sat in the grass and enjoyed the beautiful weather and our food. Tristen and Hailey enjoyed trying the food and crawling around in the grass. After lunch, Jeff, Hailey and I walked around campus and visited my old dorm, Stephens Whitney. It was really cool to see the campus again.

Anne Jackson Memorial run/walk

On August 26, the Humane Society in Burlington hosted the first annual Anne Jackson Memorial run/walk. Jeff had to work, so I met up with my friends Candice (who brought her ENORMOUS dog) and Melissa. We also met up with the Glover's and my friend Margaret when we got there. We did the 2 mile walk and had a blast! There were a ton of dogs there that Hailey loved to point and screech at. The Humane Society raised over $20,000 which will go toward a beautiful fenced in area where people can play with their dogs before adopting them. The area has already been built and was dedicated to Anne.

Tomorrow marks the one year anniversary since Anne's death. She will never be forgotten.

Chicken noodle fun

During lunch last week, Hailey decided to rub her chicken noodle meal all over her head. She needed a bath anyway, so I let her go to town. This was the end result. She had chicken noodle everywhere!

Painting

House painting is coming along! I just switched to graveyard shift and Jeff is on dayshift, so we haven't gotten too much done yet. We have 1 side completed, 1 side almost done and the garage door is done. We are hoping the weather holds out tomorrow so we can get a bunch done. Our windows get installed next week, so we are racing the clock to get done before the windows are in.
